Bali has two seasons. The dry season (April–October) is the best time to visit: clear skies, low humidity, perfect beach and trekking weather at 27–32°C. July–August is peak season with maximum visitors. The wet season (November–March) brings afternoon rains, sometimes heavy, and increased humidity — but also lush green rice terraces and fewer tourists at a lower price.
The wettest months are January and February. Shoulder season (April–May and September–October) offers the best combination of good weather, manageable crowds, and reasonable prices. Nyepi (Balinese New Year, usually March) is a unique experience: the entire island observes a day of silence — no lights, no noise, no movement. Flights in and out are cancelled for 24 hours.
