Bali travel budget guide

Bali offers extraordinary value. Budget travelers can manage $20-35/day: guesthouses in Ubud or Canggu run $8-20, a warung nasi campur costs $1.50-3, scooter rental is $5-7/day. Entrance fees to temples are modest ($1-3 each). A half-day cooking class in Ubud ($30-40) includes a market visit and 4-5 dishes.

Mid-range travelers ($60-100/day) can stay in beautiful villas with pools, eat at good restaurants, and hire private drivers for day trips. Villa rentals with pools become excellent value when split among 4+ travelers — $100/night for a 3-bedroom private villa is common in Canggu. High season (July–August, Christmas/New Year) prices jump significantly — book 3+ months ahead.
