Jordan (Arabic: الأردنّ, al-Urdunn) is an Arab kingdom in the Middle East, at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. It has been repeatedly called an "oasis of stability" in the Middle East. Since the 1940s, millions have immigrated to Jordan for a better life. Best time to visit
March–May and September–November are the best seasons. Petra is impressive year-round but most pleasant March–May. Wadi Rum camping is unforgettable in autumn. Aqaba diving is best April–June and September–October. July–August is very hot.
Visa
Most nationalities including US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia obtain a Visa on Arrival at Amman airport (JOD 40) or apply online. The Jordan Pass (jordanpass.jo) includes a visa and major site entry fees.
