The most frequent scams targeting tourists involve overcharging at bars and restaurants, particularly in Temple Bar where pints can cost €7–9 compared to €4–5 elsewhere. Always check prices before ordering and ask for itemized receipts. Fake taxi services occasionally target visitors at airport and train stations; use official Dublin Taxi Co. cabs or pre-book through Uber. Beware of street vendors claiming to offer tour "upgrades" or unsolicited offers of goods—politely decline and walk away.
